Variation: Each piece is hand-crafted individually and will vary slightly in appearance. When ordering you will receive a replica of the original design using the same colour palette. Slight differences in the design and beading will occur due to the hand-made nature of copper metalwork. The photographs in the gallery show a number of versions of the design on multiple backgrounds to give the most true to life image.
Symbolism: The three spirals are known to represent life, death and rebirth, or the earth, ocean and sky. The symbol is seen as one of the oldest Irish symbols, the shape is called a triskelion or triskele. The symbol pre-dates Celtic origins. The triskele can also be found in ancient Egyptian symbols. In Taoism the symbolism of three is represented in the three treasures: heaven, man and earth.
Metal: Solid copper wire with a patina finish polished to reveal the warm coppery tones beneath. The copper has been varnished with a brush by hand with a clear and tough gloss finish that is safe to wear against the skin. This reduces down the natural patina process.

TLC: This pendant design is delicate. The copper has been work hardened for everyday use. Please handle it gently for longevity.
