Variation: Each piece is hand-crafted individually and will vary slightly in appearance. When ordering you will receive a replica of the original design using the same colour palette. Slight differences in the design and beading will occur due to the hand-made nature of copper metalwork. The photographs in the gallery show a number of versions of the design on multiple backgrounds to give the most true to life image.
Usage: This suncatcher can be hung in a sunny spot in the home for pretty flashes of light as it plays with the beads, or out in the garden for year round sparkles.
Metal: Copper wire with a rustic patina finish that has been polished to reveal the warm coppery tones beneath, sealed with a gloss varnish.
Semi-Precious Gemstones: Agate, jade, quartz and Czech glass.
Small Hanging Loop: Metal flex wire.
Medium & Large Hanging Loop: Metal flex wire with a swivel barrel that allows 360 degrees of movement.
After Care: The varnish will degrade over time, as the metal oxidizes with the air. When the copper becomes dull, you can restore the glossy shine with a jeweller’s polishing cloth or mechanical polishing. The copper can then be resealed with a metal varnish, you are welcome to contact designer Nicola who offers a ‘copper re-sealing service’.
