Hand Forged Bangle Tutorial
Sharing with you latest tutorial for my raw copper wire paddle bangle. Follow each stage of the metal-work process to create this wrap around women's bangle design. This is one of my most popular designs, the bangles are cold formed, work hardened in a barrel tumbling machine and then goes through different stages of scratch removal and polishing with a rotary tool with a flexi-shaft. The finished piece has a professional high polish which creates an attractive reflective shine.
As with all metal, the untreated copper design will tarnish and naturally patina over time, so the tutorial provides information on how to seal the design with varnish and hard wax, as well as cleaning instructions to restore the surface shine. There is also the option to treat the bangle with a rustic patina finish.
All parts of the process are detailed step by step within the tutorial, with written instructions and professional studio photographs to help you learn more about metal wire-work.
